Gender Equity Through Leadership & Education

Raiva Foundation (Trust) serves, inspire and amplify gender scholarship through education and women leaderships in the local governance, micro enterprises groups, production associations. Following list of activities are the details:

  1. To conduct action research, Participatory Rural Appraisal, innovation (in design, colour, production process, network, marketing) including development of reports, visual media documentary, publications, and other appropriate activities, between the staff, weaver communities (with due permission) and/or stakeholders from each Trust. 
  2. To run/ operate different types of education program/schools like formal, non-formal, pre-school for the education development of under privileged children of the community/trust.
  3. To publish books, magazines, charts, issue related IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials and other periodical illustration for generating the income for the trust for the benefit of its aims.
  4. To undertake educational programmes, awareness, and gender sensitization training and development programmes for eradication of illiteracy.
  5.  To undertake vocational education training and skill development like computer education, mobile repairing, tailoring, skill promotion in the cottage industry areas etc.

6. Create awareness among adolescent to refrain from harmful addiction and consumption of alcohol, dowry, infanticide etc.
7. To organize life-skill and adolescent education and adult education for the deprived people. To the poor meritorious student for higher studies.
8. To conduct adult education centers for the illiterate people of rural and tribal areas.
9. To strengthen Balwadis, creches and day care centers elementary education and non-formal education for children. 
10. To implement innovative and experimental education programmes for children.
11. To set up homes and hostels for women and orphans; setting up old age homes; day care centers.
12. To establish a health centre for the physically handicapped, disabled, mentally retarded, spastic persons, blind, deaf & dumb and to provide them education including other rehabilitation medical services etc., and social rehabilitation in general,
