Establishment of a Gender Resource Centre

Raiva Foundation (Trust) established a gender resource centre to promote multidisciplinary and intersectionality gender action, advocacy, planning and research efficient to enhance gender equity, capabilities and their representation in the political empowerment and gender justices.

  1. To advance inquiry-based evidences through in-depth and empirical research and situated analysis, putting women/gender subjectivity sensitive to difference and specificities of development performances.
  2. To amplify voices of women and the marginalized in the local leadership, governance and self-employment.
  3. To conduct Annual National/ International Seminars/Congress/Workshop/Webinars on multidisciplinary and intersectional gender and development subjectivity.
  4. To conduct documentary on the best practices and life stories of women leadersinspire the innovation and performances at the community level.
  5. To organize various competitions such as photo shoot, short film, painting, street play, ted talks, narrating the story and case writings on life and works of women legends of Odisha.

6. To set up a digitally equipped library and archive AND Provide user access to the scholars, faculty members and various stakeholders.
7. To facilitate other academic institutions/organizations and stakeholders to undertake multidisciplinary and intersectional research and publications.
8. To undertake Capacity building training, gender sensitization training, workshop and consultancy.
9. To undertake short term and certificate courses on gender and development studies jointly with the department of gender Studies, and related to women freedom movements in Odisha and their implications for Policy, Strategies and Actions and Future Research.
10. To observe the birth anniversaries of women freedom movement personalities of Odisha by organizing seminar, competitions, community services and awarding to contemporary gender experts.
11. To organize capacity building, awareness and mentoring programme at the community level for women leadership and community services.
12. To collaborate and network with Department of Women and Child development, Mission Shakti, Panchayati Raj, Rural development, MSME etc, Institutions, Industries, Corporations, INGOs, NGOs and likeminded experts
